Introduction

The hunting period stipulated by the Wildlife Protection and Management Law is from October 15th (September 15th in Hokkaido) to April 15th of the following year.

However, this is only the maximum period stipulated by law, and in fact, from the perspective of protecting wildlife, the hunting period is shortened as follows by the Wildlife Protection and Management Law Enforcement Regulations.
