Introduction
The Law Concerning the Protection, Management and Proper Hunting of Wildlife It is set as the period during which you can do hunting, that is, the hunting period.However, according to Article 9 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Wildlife Protection and Management Law , from the perspective of protecting wildlife, the hunting period is shortened as follows, taking into consideration the breeding and migration times of birds.
Areas other than Hokkaido
Every year from November 15th to February 15th of the following year (October 15th to March 15th of the following year within hunting areas).* Outside hunting areas within Aomori, Akita and Yamagata prefectures, yellow-backed duck (Anas falcata), wigeon (Anas penelope), mallard (Anas platyuncus), spot-billed duck (Anas zonoryunca), shoveler (Anas crupeata), pintail (Anas acta), teal (Anas kuleka), white-headed duck (Aytua felina), tufted duck (Aytua frigula), sward (Aytua marilla), black-tailed duck (Melanita americana) captured From November 1st to January 31st of the following year.
Area of Hokkaido

As mentioned above, the hunting period stipulated by law is from November 15th to February 15th of the following year except in Hokkaido, and from October 1st to January 31st of the following year in Hokkaido. The hunting season may be extended or shortened depending on the hunting birds and beasts and prefectures.Please refer to the official announcements below.

Ibaraki Prefecture
